Michael Julian Bond Secures Key Endorsements in Council President's Race
Several organizations give their support to community-oriented candidate
WHAT:The Committee to Elect Michael Julian Bond today announced that it has
received the endorsements of the Atlanta Professional Firefighters Association
Local 134 and the Atlanta Labor Council, which represents 100,000 union workers
in the 15-county metro Atlanta area. A press conference will be held to formally
announce the endorsements.
WHEN:The press conference is scheduled for Thursday, July 29 at 12:15 PM.
WHERE: The press conference will take place on the Mitchell Street side of City Hall,
at 55 Trinity Ave, Atlanta GA 30303.
WHO: Michael Julian Bond, Candidate for City Council President
Charlie Flemming, President of the Atlanta Labor Council
David Rhodes, President of the Firefighters Union Association Local 134
